The proposals add extra accommodation to the existing cottage through extending towards the rear and side of the property providing space for a new kitchen/ dining/day room and separate studio space all taking advantage of the magnificent views towards Ullswater.

The new extension almost doubles the area of the existing cottage but the original scale has been retained by sensitively 'marrying' the new extensions into the existing structure and by using matching salvaged Westmorland Slates for the roof and local slatestone for the walls.
